I’m Chris, a registered Master Electrician based in the West Rand of Johannesburg. I have been working in the electrical industry for over 38 years, and for most of that time my focus has been on residential electrical compliance in and around Roodepoort, Randburg, and Krugersdorp.
I started out as an apprentice electrician and worked my way through every level of the trade before qualifying as a Master Electrician. Over the decades I have inspected hundreds of properties across the West Rand, from small flats in Northriding to large family homes in Wilgeheuwel and Honeydew. I know the common electrical issues in older West Rand properties, and I know how to work quickly and efficiently without cutting corners.
What I Do
I specialise in electrical certificates of compliance (COC) for residential properties. I also issue electric fence certificates as a registered Electric Fence System Installer (EFSI). Most clients come to me when they are selling a property and need a certificate before transfer can proceed. Others need a supplementary certificate after renovations or alterations. Some are landlords who need to ensure their rental property is legally compliant.
Every inspection I carry out is done personally. I do not subcontract work to other electricians. When you call me, I am the person who shows up, does the inspection, and issues the certificate.

All certificates I issue carry full legal standing and are valid for insurance purposes, bond applications, and property transfers. Every inspection is carried out in accordance with SANS 10142-1 as prescribed under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993).

Same-Day Certificates
If your installation passes inspection with no faults, I can issue your certificate the same day. If repairs are needed, I provide a detailed quote before any work begins and complete the re-inspection as quickly as possible.
